Dr. Julie LoosbrockSVP, Human Resources
Julie Loosbrock is the senior vice president of Human Resources and a member of the Executive Leadership Team at Deluxe Corporation where she leads a team of nearly 100 HR professionals located across the country. She has led the HR function during a time of significant change for Deluxe, as it transforms its business from being a check printer to providing marketing and technology solutions, data analytics, remote data capture, and other services to small business, financial institutions and the financial services industry.
Julie has responded to this change by evolving the role of HR and taking a proactive consultative approach to drive tangible business results. She has created and led a proprietary talent management and development strategy that provides a systemic view of the employee life cycle and ongoing metrics on its progress and effectiveness. This approach has fundamentally shifted how Deluxe attracts, develops and retains its talent. It has also served as the basis for many successful programs designed to equip, engage and motivate employees. This focus on talent is vital to Deluxe maintaining a competitive edge in the marketplace.
Julie also plays a significant role in shaping the culture at Deluxe and is passionate about equipping the company’s 6000+ employees to be successful. She has led the creation and development of brain-based development programs, cohort leadership programs and wellbeing programs, etc. Additionally, she has co-chaired the Employee Giving Campaigns since 2010. The success of these programs has been recognized with local, national and industry awards. In addition, Julie was named Woman to Watch by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
Julie joined Deluxe as a human resources manager in August of 200 and served in that role for several business groups, including Financial Services, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales and Quality segments. In September 2002, Julie was named director of Financial Services and vice president of both the Shared Services and Strategic Business Partner groups. She was promoted to her current role of senior vice president of Human Resources in October 2008.
Prior to Deluxe, Julie spent more than 20 years in human resources for other industries and companies including Pillsbury, IMPACT Consulting, Ryerson Steel and Rapp Collins Worldwide. She is involved in several professional organizations including Society for Human Resources Management, Organization Development Network, the Neuro Leadership Institute, and the American Society for Training and Development. She serves as the chair of the Board of Directors for the Tubman Family Alliance, as well as, the Deluxe and Hotchkiss Foundations, which has awarded nearly $90 million to education, the arts and human services programs since its creation in 1952, and the Administrative and Investment Committee of Deluxe.
Julie holds a doctorate in Organization Development and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas, and a bachelor’s degree in Social Science from the University of Northwestern, Roseville, MN. She has also received certification in the Neuro Science of Leadership from the Neuro Leadership Institute.
