Michelle DiTondo

MGM Resorts International

Michelle DiTondo is the Chief Human Resources Officer for MGM Resorts International where she is currently leading culture transformation and initiatives in employee engagement, internal branding, and talent management for the companies 77,000 employees.  MGM Resorts is a global leader in hospitality and gaming, operating a portfolio of 19 destination resorts including Bellagio, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, MGM National Harbor, and Borgata.

Prior to assuming this role, Michelle was the Vice President of Human Resources for Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino and Vice President of Human Resources for New York-New York Hotel & Casino, overseeing all human resources functions at each property.  She joined the Company in 2006 from Harrah’s/Caesars Entertainment, where she held the position of Vice President of Human Resources for Flamingo and Harrah’s Las Vegas. 

Michelle’s background includes more than 25 years of human resources leadership experience.  

For five years prior to entering the gaming industry, Michelle was a Partner in the Leadership Research Institute (LRI), a multinational consulting firm.  With LRI, she worked internationally and provided organization effectiveness consulting for a number of Fortune 100 Companies.  Michelle was the first female and minority to be elected a Partner in LRI. 

Michelle held HR leadership roles within the Army & Air Force Exchange Service, American Express, and First Security Corporation.

She is currently a Trustee for the Culinary Training Academy and a member of the Board of Directors for the Asian Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund along with volunteering as the fundraising coordinator for the Junior Vegas Golden Knights Hockey Organization.  

Michelle received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Arizona State University and her Master of Business Administration from Brigham Young University.

Our Opening Keynote will highlight how MGM Resorts International is transforming its culture by looking from the outside in by starting with the question…how do we want our customers to feel about us.  The journey started with the Marketing team and evolved into a close partnership with Human Resources to leverage a unique opportunity to transform the culture to align with the brand promise.
